Who said this is easy? A PM's first-hand account of implementing SOA.
Implementing an SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) in a large US-based healthcare organization should be a piece of cake right? We're IBM, we’ve done it a thousand times before right?
Guess what? It's not that easy. In fact it was hard work, there was very little practical information on how to do it, and three years on it's still a work in progress.
But in the process we've turned a troubled project into a major success for IBM and our customer, and we've learned some valuable lessons that might just help you on your next project.
