Description
Early in their careers, PMs often get involved in the latter stages of the 8 Steps of the strategic management cycle; that is, during the definition and management of a Project Portfolio (Step 5). However, to rise up the managerial ranks, they need to gain a better understanding of the initial stages of the cycle (Steps 1-4). This 1 day session will allow PMs to gain an understanding of how to identify strategic issues (Step 1) and create a common vision (2), strategic map (3) and balanced scorecard (4).

Understand and be able to use selected strategic management tools
Be able to develop strategic performance management indicators
