W1-104 - Working with Diversity of Culture and Generations

Description

Approached in a more comprehensive manner, diversity will become

a relevant issue for your employees who do not currently work with

people who are racially or technically different from themselves. We

strongly support acquiring practical skills for immediate use, while

preparing the organization for the future.

You will learn:

• Changes in the business environment that support valuing

diversity;

• Diverse work teams (characteristics, team tools, and

implications);

• Reading others and communicating effectively using recent

techniques related to neuro-linguistic programming and brainbased

learning;

• Using humour to discourage stereotyping and prejudgement;

• Developing and modeling best practices; and

• Creative action planning.

David (Dave) is a team member of Human Potential Consultants Inc. andcurrently works as a consultant, facilitator, and management consultant.He was employed by the Canadian government as a learning specialist, line manager/team leader, manager, facilitator and auditor.  Dave also spent some time as a facilitator and faculty member with the Canadian Centre for Management Development (CCMD)and has been a trainer for the Canadian Management Centre (CMC) of the American

Management Association.
